01 is a starting model for Collings 0 series, and it comes with a fully acoustic body made of mahogany back and sides with a sitka spruce top. The top is bound in tortoise binding, topped with tortoise pickguard and adorned with a triple circle rosette around the sound hole. Bracing pattern applied on this model is a prewar scalloped one. The bridge is made of ebony, as it is Collings standard. It features ebony string pins and bone saddle. There are no under-saddle pickups, preamps or mics installed on this model. The neck is made of mahogany and is attached tot he body at the 14th fret. The ebony fingerboard is equipped with 20 frets, dot position inlays and 1-11/16" bone nut. 24-7/8" scale and nickel-plated Waverly tuners complete the specs.
