Baby Series comes from Collings as a line of down-scaled guitars which may also serve as travel guitars. Their fantastically balanced tone makes it almost impossible to tell them apart from full-sized guitars just by listening. Baby 1 opens the series with it`s non-cutaway orchestra-shaped body made of mahogany back and sides with sitka spruce top. The top is equipped with following features: tortoise binding, tortoise pickguard and black and white rosette. Also, under the top, prewar scalloped bracing pattern is applied. The bridge is made of ebony and it comes with ebony string pins with bone saddle. The neck is made of mahogany and it is attached to the body at the 14th fret. Ebony fingerboard has 20 frets and dot inlays. 1-11/16" bone nut, 24-1/8" scale and nickel-plated Waverly tuners complete the specs.
