This model is named after Walnut Valley Festival in Winfield, Kansas and it is a modified variant of already existing dreadnoughts in Collings catalog. It comes with a full-sized body made of mahogany back and sides with Adirondack spruce top. The body features no cutaways and it is bound in tortoise binding. The top is flat and equipped with Dalmatian-styled pickguard and a double ring sound hole rosette. The bridge is made of ebony, as it is a common feature for Collings D series. It comes with black string pins against white bone saddle. The neck on this model is made of mahogany and it is attached to the body at the 14th fret. Ebony fingerboard sports 20 frets. 25-1/2" scale, nickel-plated Waverly tuners and 1-23/32" bone nut wrap the specs.
