HF 18 is positioned around the middle of the range of the Classical Series by Hofner. This series is situated below the Master Built series and represents a more affordable alternative with the accent on high quality of the features. Hofner HF 18 has a flat solid AA grade spruce top and laurel back and sides. The top features wood binding and satin finish of the natural lacquer, while the back and sides have glossy finish. The bridge is made of rosewood and features standard classic shape and bone saddle. Mahogany neck is equipped with a dovetail join at the 12th fret and rosewood fingerboard with 19 frets and no inlays. The string nut measures 1.97" in width and the scale is standard 25-1/2" long. This model costs around $700.
