Hofner is a brand with tremendous tradition and experience. After over a 120 years in business, it is safe to say that this German brand is one of the strongest contenders against American guitar brands. They make all sorts of stringed instruments and acoustic guitars have a special section of the catalog. Currently, classic acoustics comprise the vast majority of this section. HZ series is one of the lines of fully acoustic classic guitars and HZ 28 is it`s flagship model. It comes with the body made of laurel back and sides with cedar sound board on top. Top panel is embellished with multi-ply binding and classical rosette. Neck is made of mahogany and has 12th fret dovetail joint. Rosewood is used for both the bridge and the standard 19-fret fingerboard.

Just received the Hofner HZ28 and I have to say it did not disappoint! Beautifully put together and one of the prettiest classical guitars on the market thanks to the Laurel wood /craftsmanship. The tonal quality is wonderful. This guitar is a keeper!
