AEL1512E is an acoustic-electric twelve-stringer with the compact AEL body and series standard neck with dovetail joint at the 14th fret. Electronics installed on this model are made entirely by Ibanez and they include Ibanez under-saddle pickup and Shape Shifter preamp with on-board tuner. These two elements, though a sign of the intermediate class, give AEL1512E a fantastic tone when plugged in. Fidelity to the unplugged tone is remarkable on this twelve-stringer. Preamp is fit onto the side of the body and it features all the standard controls (equalizer, volume and tuner). Pickup is installed directly under the saddle. Body is a single-cut with custom AEL series contour. Big body volume and smart construction give AEL models fantastic projection. Carefully laid out X bracing further improves the tone. On the top, there is the standard rosewood bridge with a compensated saddle and Advantage string pins made by Ibanez. Neck is made of mahogany; it`s fit with the series standard contour in the back. On it`s top, there`s the regular 20-fret fingerboard made of rosewood.
