AW535C is the single-cut variant of the AW535 model. Both of them are being introduced for 2014 into the Artwood series. AW535C is basically the same as the AW535, except the cutaway. Body of this six-stringer is fully hollow and is among the deeper ones on the market. Rosewood, spruce and flamed maple are used in it`s construction. Rosewood on the back and sides provides depth and strength, flamed maple strip on the back adds brightness, while the spruce top sharpens the response. On the inside, body of this steel-stringer is equipped with the classic X bracing, which is based on the actual bracing patterns of the golden period of acoustics. On the top, Ibanez installs the fixed rosewood bridge with a compensated bone saddle and Advantage pins. Ibanez AEQ-SP2 preamp and Fishman`s Sonicore pickup comprise the electronics unit on this model. Preamp is installed on the side of the body, facing the player. It sports the basic controls plus a digital tuner. Mahogany neck is attached to the body at the 14th fret via the dovetail joint. On it`s top, Ibanez installs the regular 20-fret fingerboard made of rosewood.
