Industry today leans more towards bigger bodies, like dreadnought, grand auditorium or jumbo, but major manufacturers offer smaller models for players who find big ones too big, or simply prefer smaller guitars. 00-18S John Mellencamp is one of the most luxurious 00 models on the market and it comes from Martin`s Custom Artist series. It is made of solid mahogany back and side panels with solid spruce sound board on top. This body is combined with hardwood neck with low profile contour and regular 12th fret joint. Bridge is made of ebony and it sports a standard belly contour. It`s matched with a 20-fret ebony fingerboard. Waverly tuners are plated in gold on this model.
