Vintage Series in Martin Guitars catalog is dedicated to the production of acoustic instruments which are aimed at reviving the looks and tones of some of Martin`s most famous models from the past. The series traits are: optimum selection of tonewoods, pre-war appointments, polished gloss finish and hand-fitted dovetail joints. 00-28VS starts off with solid Sitka spruce top and solid rosewood back and sides. This non-cutaway model has a natural gloss finish and a flat top with grained ivoroid binding. The neck on this model is made of hardwood with modified V contour and dovetail joint at the 12th fret. Ebony fingerboar features 20 frets, dot inlays, 1.875" wide bone nut and 16" radius. Bridge is also made of ebony. List price for this model is set at $4,699.
