5-18 Marty Robins is one of the smallest guitars in Martin catalog, as it features a 21-1/2" scale and small, non-cutaway body with it. Nevertheless, it features all-solid construction, like every other Custom Artist series guitar. Mahogany and spruce are used for the body. Solid mahogany is found on the back and side panels, while the sound board is made of solid spruce. Also, the bracing inside the body is made of solid spruce. Rich brown and tortoise binding is laid around the edge of the sound board. It is accompanied by tortoise shell pickguard and multiple rosette. Oval neck is made of hardwood and it is attached tot he body with a 14th fret dovetail joint. Both the bridge and fingerboard are made of solid ebony.
