OM-42 is part of the Standard Series in Martin Guitars catalog. This series is dedicated to providing high quality acoustic and acoustic electric guitars and is the corner stone of the catalog. Series traits are: solid tonewoods, polished gloss finish and hand fitted dovetail joints. OM-42 starts off with a non-cutaway concert body made of a solid spruce top and rosewood back and sides. This flat top model features a natural gloss finish and grained ivoroid binding. The neck is made of hardwood and has a low profile contour with a dovetail joint set at 14th fret. Ebony fingerboard is equipped with 20 frets, snowflake inlays and 1.75" wide bone nut. The bridge on this model is made of solid ebony. List price is set at $6,499.
