Koa Special is one of nine currently active members of Michael Kelly`s acoustic range. Like the rest of the models, this one`s actually acoustic-electric. This one (and three others) features a more traditional styling than the super-modern Triad models. Koa Special comes in Hickory Sunset color scheme, with satin finish and gold-plated hardware. Core construction features include okume back & sides (white binding, Port soundhole on the side, facing the player), flame koa top (traditional circular soundhole, white binding, triple circle rosette, two-piece construction), mahogany neck (Comfort C profile, 3+3 headstock, 14th fret dovetail joint), and rosewood fingerboard (white binding, mini dot inlays, 1-11/16" bone nut). Main hardware & electronics features include die-cast MK tuners, Zero-End Pin bridge, and Discrete Fishman Sonitone Active electronics.
