Cigano Guitars are a brand of affordable nylon-stringed guitars. Cigano models follow the legendary Selmer-Maccaferri style. With price tags set around $500, these models offer a lot of bang for the buck and GJ-5 can be considered as one of the entry models, though none of them is really that much cheaper or more expensive than the others. This one comes with a single cut body made of rosewood back and sides with spruce sound board. Top is flat and equipped with a D-shaped sound hole. Bridge section has a movable rosewood bridge with highly decorative trapezoid tailpiece in the back. Neck on this model is made of mahogany and it is attached to the body with a 12th fret dovetail joint. 24-fret fingerboard is made of rosewood.
