Hofner`s Classic series is oriented towards students of classical guitar and beginners. Also, players looking for a high-quality practice/backup nylon-stringer might find the Classical series very interesting. The current roster has nine models - six with spruce tops and three with cedar tops. All nine are, however, hand-made in Hagenau, Germany in Hofner`s main production facilities. Classic Series HZ28 is one of the "cedar" models. It comes with a full-sized classical body made of laminated laurel back & sides, solid cedar top (AA-grade), and standard Hofner bracing. Hofner sells this one only in natural color, with gloss finish, gold hardware, and black binding. Other notable features include a solid mahogany neck, 19-fret fingerboard made of rosewood, fixed rosewood bridge, and classical tuning pegs.
