GT series is one of three lines of electric basses made by Conklin Guitars. This small Canadian brand is one of few guitar brands, other than Godin, with some success on the US market. Their bass section of the catalog is equipped with a total of eleven models (three four-stringers, two five-stringers two six-stringers and four seven-stringed basses). GTBD-7 is one of four seven-stringers (two are featured in the GT series) in the catalog. It comes with a solid and double-cut ash body with modern design and simple construction. On the top of the body, a pair of active single-coil pickups is featured. They come with an elaborate controls unit with gold-plated knobs. Wenge/purple heart neck is topped with a 24-fret bubinga fingerboard.
