Curbow 51 belongs to the Curbow line of solid bodied electric basses from Cort. Curbow is a series of double cutaway models with Bartolini pickups in either one, or two pickup configurations. Curbow 51 is a new model for 2012 year and it kicks off with a double cutaway solid body made of soft maple. It has a carved top for enhanced aesthetic appeal. It is available in black color with glossy finish. No binding and no pickguards are utilized for this model. The bridge option is fixed EB10 bridge with five saddles and platinum plating. Curbow 51 features only one pickup and it is an active Bartolini MK1, the five stringer model. This pickup is controlled through master volume, master tone, Bartolini MK 2 EQ control knobs and slap on/off switch. The neck on this model is made of three pieces of Canadian hard maple with a bolt-on joint. The fingerboard is made of rosewood and features 24 large sized frets, no fingerboard position inlays, just side dot markers and 15-3/4" radius. Other features on Curbow 51 include: 34" scale length, die cast tuning machines and platinum plated hardware.
