Thunderbird basses with Epiphone label are budget variants of the ones bearing Gibson USA name. Despite being budget options, Epiphone`s Thunderbird four and five-stringers have carved their own path on the market. Goth models in this series come clad in black color, which is matched with black hardware. Also, the tone is very strong and dark, as one would expect from the evil looking axe, like this one. The body of this model is solid, single-cut and made of mahogany. It is a flat-top body with black pickguard, deep cutaway and bolt-on neck joint. Four-saddled bridge on this model is fronted with a pair of minibucker pickups. Neck is made of several pieces of maple and it is topped with a standard 20-fret rosewood fingerboard.
