Thunderbird IV is a model from the Epiphone`s Thunderbird Bass range. It is the basic model of the series and it sets standard for the rest of the Thunderbird line. As all Thunderbirds, in both the Epi and Gibson catalogs, Thunderbird IV is based upon the 50 years old Firebird guitar design. It is a flat-top bass with 34" scale, bolt-on neck joint and rosewood fingerboard. Body of this beast is solid, single-cut and made of mahogany. There are no excessive decorations on this one, as it is an Epiphone model, though there is a traditional triangular pickguard. Hardtail bridge is fronted by a pair of minibucker pickups with series standard set of control knobs. Neck is made of mahogany and maple and is topped with a standard 22-fret rosewood fingerboard.

Ahhh, the almighty Thunderbird VI! This review is gonna be kinda short, but not lacking in content...this bass is a MASSIVE ROCK AND ROLL THUNDER MACHINE! It's a huge, burly, manly bass that smaller bassists will (probably lol) run from in fear! It's the Godzilla of bass guitars, it's nasty, loud, thick sounding and truly wicked! If you don't own one, then that's your loss...but remember, it takes a certain kind of bassist to wrangle this bottom trolling beast (no wussy high notes in THIS bass lol), the type that worship at the altar of John Entwistle, Felix Pappalardi, Chris Squire and Lemmy Kilmister (my bass heroes, in no particular order...they're ALL gods)! The kind of bassist that LIVES for that huge overdriven FWOMMMMMP when they whack a octaved E or A chord, who think the Big Muff pi was intended for bass players from the get go, who think clean, slightly compressed bass rigs with a touch of chorus sound like DOGSH*T, and whose place in the universe is to loosen the fillings from every slack jawed fan's teeth in the venue! ROCK AND F**KING ROLL BABY!
