SG Bass is a legend in its own right, as its been around almost continually since the 1960s. It is Gibson`s short-scale solution for players who dislike the bulkiness and weight of a 34" bass. The currently active lineup of SG Bass series includes only one model - the SG Bass 4-String 2018 (introduced at the NAMM Show). It is available in a set of classic color options - Ebony, Heritage Cherry, and Walnut. All three come with nitrocellulose finish, chrome-plated hardware, black plastics. Main construction features include a solid and twin-horned SG body (all-mahogany construction, beveled top, small SG pickguard), a mahogany neck (rounded profile, set-in joint), a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard (1,60 tektoid nut, 30.5" scale, trapezoid inlays), a Babicz bridge, classic SG Bass pickups, and Grover Shamrock tuners.
