Artcore Vintage series is a brand new series and it starts with two segments - hollow body guitar and hollow body bass. Hollow body guitar section starts off with a quartet of vintage-styled six-stringers, while the bass section has three models (two four-stringers and one five-stringer). They all, basses and guitars, feature very similar styling, tonewood selection, hardware and electronics. Differences are minute, especially among the members of the same section. AGBV200A is one of two four-stringed Artcore Vintage basses. It is a fully hollow instrument with a short 30-3/10" scale, passive Ibanez electronics, aged hardware and series standard Tobacco Burst Low Gloss color scheme. AGB200A starts off with a carved-top body with single-cut design and vintage styling. Back, sides and top are all made of maple. Three-piece maple/mahogany neck is glued onto the medium-deep body. It features the standard Artcore profile and a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard (1.65" nut, dot inlays, 15.75" radius). Ibanez Classic Elite minibuckers come with one volume knob, one tone knob and a three-way pickup switch - an electronics unit copied from the six-string section. Gibraltar III hardtail bridge and die-cast tuners complete this short-scale bass.
