While not the first entries into the BTB`s 700 tier (BTB Standard and Ibanez Bass Workshop both count), 2017 745 and 746 are the first ever 740 models. That means stripped down looks and all the hardware and electronics goods found on the 845/6 models. BTB745 is a double-cut BTB model with neck-through-body construction, beveled double-cut body and passive electronics. It starts off with a five-piece maple/rosewood neck with BTB5 profile in the back. The body is completed with a pair of mahogany/ash/walnut sandwiched wings (glued onto the neck). Rosewood fingerboard with 24 medium frets, abalone inlays, 1.85" nut and 35" scale) completes the neck. Other important features include Monorail V bridge, Bartolini BH2 soapbar pickups and die-cast tuners.
