BTB basses come in two main variants - single-cut and double-cut. Single-cut variant is one of the most popular concepts used in Ibanez Bass Workshop. At 2017 NAMM Ibanez has introduced a pair of BTB Workshop models, including this one. BTB845SC is a true behemoth, a five-string bass with a massive body and equally powerful tone. It is built around the five-piece maple/rosewood neck which runs all the way through the body. Body wings are made up of mahogany/ash/poplar burl sandwich. Poplar is on top, mahogany in the back and ash in the middle. 24-fret rosewood fingerboard (medium frets, abalone inlays, 15.75" radius) tops the front end of the neck. Bartolini`s BH2 soapbar pickups, five-saddled Monorail V bridge and die-cast tuners complete the specs list.
