Traditionally, SR catalog is divided between mahogany and basswood. Mahogany takes the upscale models, while the basswood jumps in for the beginner and lower intermediate ones. Now, there are some exceptions to this rule, most notably ash, walnut and maple. As the decorative top wood, maple is the most standard option (both flamed and quilted), but as the main body wood it is very rare. SR375, introduced at the 2014 NAMM is one such model. It`s body is made entirely of maple. It is a solid and double-cut five-stringer with bolted neck and carved top. For starters, Ibanez has assigned only one color scheme to this model, the vibrant Blackberry Sunburst. It is finished in gloss and has black hardware. On the top, the Accu-cast bridge with five saddles is featured. CAP EXF-N2 humbuckers are installed in the pickups compartment. Master volume, balance and a three-band equalizer are featured in the controls unit, giving plenty options and possibilities to the player. Five-piece neck is made of three pieces of maple and two strips of rosewood in between. In the back, it rocks the super fast and super slim SR contour, while on the top there is the series standard 24-fret rosewood fingerboard.
