Only the best is acceptable for a legend like Rudy Sarzo, thus new Cirrus signature with his name sports only the top options available from Peavey. This is also an environment conscious instrument, as it is made completely out of sustainable and renewable wood resources. It was uncovered at the NAMM Show earlier this year. Rudy Sarzo Cirrus kicks off with a chambered bamboo body and maple neck. Bamboo is chosen as an alternative for already established woods, such as mahogany, maple and swamp ash because it sounds great, and grows quickly. Color of this bass is black with gloss finish. There are no pickguards or bindings. The bridge is a gold-plated monorail with four separate units. Pickups are provided by Peavey, and they are active, noiseless humbuckers. One is placed at the bridge, and one in the neck position. Active electronics include following controls: master volume, bass, mid, treble knobs and +/-10db boost/cut knobs. The neck is made of maple with mahogany stringers and through-body joint. The fingerboard is made of rosewood and features 24 frets with snake eyes inlays. Other features on Rudy Sarzo Signature Cirrus include: 35" scale, gold hardware and dual truss rods.
