Simon Gallup has been with The Cure for almost four decades (including the early 80s hiatus) and has proven to be, along with Robert Smith, one of the main pillars of band`s sonic identity. His signature series with Schecter utilizes the iconic Ultra body shape, the same as Smith`s signature guitar series. Simon Gallup Ultra Spitfire Bass is a yellow-clad four-stringer with a flat-top body, neck-through construction, 34" scale and active electronics. Gloss Yellow w/Black Graphic is the only available color option. Core construction features include solid mahogany wings, maple/walnut multi-ply neck (thin C profile), and 22-fret rosewood fingerboard (medium frets, 1.496" nut, 16" radius). Main hardware and electronics appointments include a two-piece TOM/stoptail bridge, Schecter tuners, and EMG TBHZ pickups.
