Excess basses from Vigier are inspired by Precision Bass design, but they have a life of their own as very successful and top notch instruments on the bass market. Excess Original 5 come with bare necessities of rock, it`s double cutaway body is solid and made of alder. The top is flat and free of binding, top wood covers and pickguards. The bridge employed on this Excess is a chrome-plated quick release with five saddles. In the pickups area pair of Vigier active single coils is controlled with master volume, balance and three-band equalizer. Neck is traditionally made of maple and it sports a D contour. Maple, Rosewood and Phenowood are material options for 24 medium-fretted fingerboards. Besides that, fingerboards feature offside dot inlays and 1.81" teflon nuts.
