Cadillac Straight Six belongs to the newly introduced Straight Six series. Series currently has four models: ML< V< Z and Cadillac. More or less, these are the standard production guitars with one modern and new feature: headstock. Instead of classic winged headstocks, Dean installs new streamlined headstocks on these models. Tuners on them are in one line, instead of two rows of three. Other than that, these are pretty much common, standard Dean models intended for lower and intermediate market sections. Cadillac Straight Six comes with a solid, single-cut body made of mahogany. Dean`s Cadillac mixes the front end of the Explorer and Les Paul waist and bottom of the body. It is available only in glossy black color with gold-plated hardware as contrast. Bridge section on this model is made up of a tune-o-matic bridge with string-through-body construction. Pickups on this Straight Six are DMT Design humbuckers. They`re active and feature the standard controls unit. Neck is made of mahogany and it sports the C contour in the back. It is topped with a regular 22-fret fingerboard made of rosewood. Grover tuners are featured on the headstock.
