Chicago Standard series is the lowest of three Chicago lines introduced at NAMM show this January. It features stripped down variants of USA Chicago and Chicago models. Low key appearance does not mean a lack in the performance area, it`s only there as an option for players who are more interested in performance, than in looks. V, Z and ML comprise the standard lineup for Chicago series sub-divisions. Color selection is also a standard one, as These models feature Trans Brazilia, Trans Cherryburst and Classic Black color schemes with satin finish. Body of this model features standard ML contour and it`s made of mahogany. There is no top wood cover, nor there is binding around the top. Bridge section is standard for Chicago models, it features tune-o-matic bridge with V-plate in behind. Strings go through the plate and the body. Pickups are DiMarzio Super Distortion humbuckers and they`re featured in both the bridge and neck positions. Controls section is a standard one. Neck is made of mahogany and it features the classic V contour in the back. On it`s top, there`s a bound rosewood fingerboard with 22 frets. Grover tuners are featured on the headstock.
