Slash is probably the most responsible player out there for the resurgence of Gibson Les Paul popularity back in the 1980s. Instead of playing super expensive De Luxe, or Custom LPs, Slash took on a newcomer in LP roster, the fresh and bold Les Paul Studio and in no time, the people`s Les Paul has become the icon of the 1980s hard rock scene. Some 25-30 years later, Slash is one of the most celebrated guitar players alive and is also a standard and permanent member of Gibson and Epiphone Signature Artist lines. AFD Les Paul Performance Pack is the latest addition to the Epiphone side of the Slash signature series. It is a value pack which contains a lower intermediate class guitar, high quality open-back 15w amp made by Epiphone, guitar strap, picks, cords and an instruction manual. The guitar itself is a solid and single-cut axe with a mahogany/flamed maple body (mahogany in the back and flamed maple veneer on top). Classic tune-o-matic/stoptail bar bridge unit is fronted with a pair of Epiphone Ceramic humbuckers with zebra coil design and a basic controls unit (master volume, master tone and a three-way toggle switch). Mahogany neck is set in and has a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard on top. Epiphone tuners wrap the specs list.
