LTD SC-308B is a signature model made for Stephen Carpenter by ESP Guitars. It is one of numerous models in the series and it is a fairly affordable eight-stringer with quality materials and appointments. SC-308B has a solid, double-cut body made of mahogany. There is no top wood cover, even though the top side is carved. Construction-wise, this model features deep cutaways and neck-through joint. It is available only in black color with high gloss finish. Bridge section on this model is equipped with a fixed bridge with string-through-body construction. A pair of EMG 808 pickups is installed in the front. Master volume, master tone and a three-position blade switch comprise the controls. U-shaped maple neck is topped with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard.
