SC-608B is the eight-string variant of the SC-607B. Both come from the Stephen Carpenter signature series made by ESP Guitars. His line is predominantly made up of seven and eight-stringed guitars, for Stephen`s band, the Deftones, uses a variety of very low tunings. SC-608B is a solid, double-cut baritone guitar with 27" scale. Body of this model is made of alder, the standard body material for Stephen Carpenter series. Black color with high gloss finish is the only color option available for this axe. Hardtail bridge on this model is equipped with string-through construction. EMG pickups are arranged in H/H pattern. Both positions feature 808 humbuckers. Neck is made of maple and it features neck-through construction. It`s topped with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard.
