What this line of models offers is guitar with the same specs list as the prototype models built in the designated year. This time Gibson Custom absolutely nailed the 1955 Les Paul Historic Prototype model. It comes with a solid, single cut mahogany body with flamed maple cover on top. Two-piece carved top is bound in creme and bookmatched. Sunburst is the only color scheme in the palette and it`s finished in high gloss. Stoptail bar is the only component of the bridge section on this model. Pair of active humbuckers in it`s front is controlled through separate volume and tone knobs. 22-fret fingerboard on this model is made of rosewood.
