Gibson Custom celebrates 20 years in business with a range of supremely luxurious models. All of them will be available in extremely small series. Also, they will be available only throughout 2013. This special series sees a brief return of ebony fingerboards into the catalog and it will be, supposedly, one of the last appearances of ebony on Gibson models. The first model in this 20th anniversary line is 20th Anniversary 1957 Les Paul Custom Black Beauty. It is a replica of the Black 1957 Les Paul Custom model. It features one-piece body made of mahogany. It`s solid, covered with maple top and equipped with extra deep neck joint. Multi-ply binding is found around the top, around back, fingerboard and headstock. Two-piece bridge section is made up of a tune-o-matic bridge in the front and stoptail bar in the back. Custom Bucker pickups have separate volume and tone knobs. Set in mahogany neck is equipped with a vintage '50s contour in the back and 22-fret ebony fingerboard on the top. 1.6875" wide nylon nut, 12" radius and block inlays complete the fingerboard. Waffle-back tuners are installed on the custom-shaped headstock in the classic 3+3 pattern. The MSRP for this model is set at $9,411.
