Flying V is the most popular guitar shape in metal music and it has been copied so many times, that it is impossible to count. But, there`s only one original, and it`s name is Gibson Flying V. Probably the biggest reason for other manufacturers to copy the V, besides it`s amazing looks is the lack of tremolo bridge. Gibson has always insisted on fixed bridges, leaving the whole tremolo and locking tremolo business to other brands. In recent years, some of the specialized Vs came with trem bridges, but this is the first standard model with Floyd Rose tremolo. Body is made of mahogany and it`s paired with a mahogany neck. Pickups are 496R in the neck and 500T in the bridge positions. 22-fret fingerboard is made of rosewood.
