Les Paul `50s Tribute 2016T costs $899 and brings the classic construction features such as late `50s body and neck contours, green key tuners, sweet-sounding pickups and a selection of vintage LP color options.
Traditionally shaped LP body of this `50s Tribute beauty features low density mahogany with modern weight relief in the back and classic maple cap on top (transparent finishes feature flamed maple tops). All four color options come with white plastics and chrome-plated hardware; no binding around the body and neck. One-piece mahogany neck features `59 neck heel and profile, and is topped with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard (also made of a single piece of wood). Medium jumbo frets, acrylic trapezoid inlays, 12" radius and 1.695" TekToid nut make up a vintage-modern fingerboard.
Gibson`s battle-hardened 490R and 498T make a return in 2016, bringing all the vintage `50s goodness - beefy low end, creamy leads and crystal clear mids. Standard set of knobs and switches completes the electronics unit. Green key Grover tuners and two-piece tune-o-matic/stoptail bar bridge conclude the list of major features.
