When it came out some thirty years ago, Les Paul Studio was marketed as the bare bones version of the mighty Standard and the new entry point of the Gibson USA catalog. Les Paul Studio Faded 2016T is, along with several others, is the most recent development in the opening class.
Les Paul Studio Faded 2016T is a solid and single-cut guitar with chambered body, set neck, dual pickups and 22-fret fingerboard. It is a true LP, but with basic looks and full tone. The body is made of mahogany back with modern weight relief and carved maple top (flamed maple on transparent finishes). Top is decorated with the traditional elevated pickguard. This is the most affordable Gibson USA Les Paul in 2016 lineup with a mahogany neck. It is a one-piece neck with `59 profile in the back and 22-fret rosewood fingerboard on top. 1.695" TekToid nut, 12" radius and trapezoid inlays are all standard features on modern LP models.
Burstbucker Pro pickups come with a classic set of switches and knobs, lacking coil-splits featured on regular 2016 Studio. Tune-o-matic bridge with stoptail bar, Green Key Grover tuners, black truss rod cover with Studio logo and black-clad traditional headstock with Les Paul`s signature are also featured on this affordable marvel.
$799 affords you a true Les Paul feel and tone, but with heavily subdued looks. LP Studio Faded 2016T perfect for players who want a real Gibson USA Les Paul, but can not afford a four digit guitar.
