SG Diablo Premium Plus is a mighty beast with beautiful body. Fifty one years in production and SG has never looked this good. Gibson USA decided to dress this one up with high quality AAA grade maple top over the standard thin mahogany body. Iced Tea, Manhattan Midnight and Trans Black are the color options available for this SG and they all come finished in hand-sprayed nitrocellulose gloss. To match this Gibson installed a set of chrome-plated hardware features and Grover tuners with 18:1 gear ratio. Body is made of mahogany and it features the same characteristics as the early SGs, which includes set-in neck joint, symmetrical horns and it is overall a lot thinner than LP models. Bridge section upon the carved top is made up of a Tonepros tune-o-matic in the front and Tonepros stoptail bar in the back. Pickups on this SG are Burstbucker Pro active humbucking pickups. Burstbucker Pro Rhythm is installed in the neck position, with Burstbucker Pro Lead in the bridge position. Master volume, master tone and three-way toggle pickup switch comprise the controls unit. Neck on this model features a traditional mahogany neck with rounded SG contour. It is topped with a rosewood fingerboard. 24 frets, figured acrylic trapezoid inlays, 12" radius and 1.695" wide corian nut complete the fingerboard. Scale length is standard 24-3/4" long.
