Core is a brand new series from Godin, introduced at the NAMM Show this January, and it continues the set neck story which began few years ago with Icon series. It is oriented towards the players who can not afford the expensive high-end guitars. The Core line is made up of three models, Core HB, Core P90 and Core EMG. Core EMG is the top cat of the alley and it starts off with a chambered mahogany body and carved maple top. This model is available in black color with gloss finish, it is a black tie model in Core series. The bridge is, as on other two Cores, a Graphtech Resomax wraparound. In the pickup area, two mighty EMGs are in charge. One of the most iconic pickup combos ever to roam the earth, the EMG81 is in the bridge and EMG85 in the neck. They are controlled through split volume and tone knobs and a three-way toggle switch. The neck is made of mahogany and features a set-in joint. This cool cat has a rosewood fingerboard with 22 frets and dot position inlays. 24-3/4" scale wraps the specs list for the Core EMG.
