Godin primarily built bolt-on neck guitars for most of it`s career, but in last few years Icon series brought a change, as these models had set-in necks. Drawing upon their heritage, Core series is made. It is a brand new line of guitars with set necks and fat, bold tone. Core HB is a single cutaway guitar with chambered mahogany body and maple top cap. The top is carved and creme binding. This model also features an elevated pickguard in style of the legendary Les Paul. Black, vintage sunburst, light burst, trans red and denim blue are available for HB. The bridge is a Resomax wraparound from Graphtech. In the pickup department, HB has two Godin humbuckers. One in the bridge and one in the neck position. Controls have a classic setup with split volume and tone knobs and a three-way pickup selector near the upper strap button. The neck is made of mahogany with a slim contour and set-in joint. The fingerboard is made of rosewood with 22 frets and dot position inlays. 24-3/4" scale and chrome plated hardware complete the specs. The MSRP for Core HB is set just under $1,000.
