APEX is the name of the signature series Ibanez makes for Munky, Korn guitarist. For years, APEX models have been an integral part of the signature segment of the Ibanez catalog. For 2014, Ibanez has prepared a pair of new APEX double-cuts. ZPEX200 is one of them. It comes with a solid and double-cut RG body and bolted neck with super thin contour. Body design and construction of this APEX model are completely taken over from the upper classes of the RG range. Alder is used as the sole body tonewood and it`s paired with the five-piece maple/wenge neck. Bridge section is fit with an Edge bridge with seven saddles and black plating. In it`s front, there are two DiMarzios in H/S configuration. Super simple controls unit is made up of the lone volume knob and three-position blade switch. Maple/wenge neck is fast, slim and finished in thin layer of glossy lacquer to improve the playability. On it`s top, there is a 24-fret fingerboard made of rosewood. It has jumbo-sized frets, side dot inlays, 1-11/16" string nut and 16.90" radius (this helps with both the rhythm and lead parts).
