IC500B is one of three models introduced into the Iceman series for 2013. Iceman is advertised by Ibanez as the new metal standard guitar. First models of this revamped Iceman series had 22 frets, but models for 2013 are equipped with two more, which now reaches overall Ibanez standard for electric guitars at 24 frets. However, size of the frets remained medium. Fingerboard on this model is made of rosewood and it`s installed on top of the three-piece mahogany/maple neck. Back contour of the neck is Iceman and it features the set in joint. Pickups on this model come in H/H configuration. DiMarzio supplies a pair of D-Activator pickups for each IC500B guitar. Master volume, master tone and three-way toggle switch comprise the controls unit. Bridge behind them is good ol` Gibraltar with six saddles and black paint over it. Body of this six-stringer sports the modern rendition of the first original Ibanez body contour introduced way back in 1970s. It has a single cutaway, flat top and it`s made of mahogany.
