IC500 is one of two novelties introduced into the Iceman series. Iceman was the first original Ibanez design introduced some four decades ago and it fared really well along the flood of Gibson and Fender replicas. It actually became recognized as one of the important contours in history of electric guitar. Couple of years ago, Ibanez decided to revive this odd, but cool guitar. IC500 is the only six-string update for 2013 and it comes with two color options. Black is named IC500 and the black is IC500B. Body of this model is made of mahogany and it sports a flat top, distinctive cutaway and gloss finish. There`s no top wood cover. Black binding on white and white binding on black variant are the only decorations. Bridge is a Gibraltar standard with six saddles and string-through construction. DiMarzio D-Activator humbuckers comprise the pickups section. Master volume, master tone and a three-way toggle pickup switch are found in the electronics section. Neck is made of three pieces of mahogany and maple. On top, there`s a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard.
