Jake Bowen`s signature series is a fairly recent development in Ibanez`s catalog, at least when compared to some of the long running series such as Steve Vai`s JEM or Joe Satriani`s JS. Nonetheless, Jake`s one-guitar series has earned great acclaim and has shown serious quality. In 2016, it is being reinforced with a pair of new models - JBM20 and MBM27. JBM20 is a standard six-stringer with 25-1/2" scale and JBM27 rocks a set of seven strings over a 25-1/2" scale, as well. Just like its six-string companion, JBM27 has a carved top, passive DiMarzio electronics, locking bridge and bolt-on construction. JBM27 has a solid and double-cut body made of mahogany base and plain maple top. The body is paired with a three-piece maple neck with Wizard III profile in the back. 24-fret fingerboard is made of rosewood and features 15.75" radius, custom 12th fret inlay and 1.89" locking string nut. DiMarzio`a custom-voiced Titan pickups offer a big, strong, but highly versatile tone. They`re perfect for progressive metal players. Master volume, kill-switch and a five position blade switch (coil-splitting in position 2 and parallel connection of the neck pickup in position 4) make up the controls. Locking Edge III bridge and Gotoh tuners complete the specs list.
