RG Prestige series is the top line within the famous RG domain. Prestige is reserve for only the best among RG axes. Only the finest tonewoods and hardware are used for guitars of this series. For 2014, Ibanez has overhauled the lineup with seven new models. One of the magnificent seven is the exclusive RG852LW model. It is an eight-stringer with baritone scale (27"), active electronics, bolted neck and hardtail bridge. Basswood and limba on top comprise the body tonewood combo (a rare and unique combination gives RG852LW a very recognizable tone). Body of this model is available in Hazelnut Ale Brown color with glossy finish and black hardware. Bridge section is fit with a standard eight-saddled Gibraltar bridge of the second generation. In it`s front, there is a pair of extended range EMGs. Active 808 humbuckers are brimming with fire and thunder and go exceptionally well with basswood/limba wood combo. Neck is made of five pieces of maple and wenge and is fit with the classic Wizard contour in the back. On it`s top, there is a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard.
