S Prestige Electric Guitars by Ibanez
S Prestige is the top line of the S range. It deals with the best and most luxurious S axes. For 2014, S Prestige is being updated and reinforced with several new models. Six, seven and eight-string guitars can be found among the novelties introduced at 2014 NAMM. S5527 is one of them. It rocks the seven-string construction, classic S series design and passive electronics. This year`s 5500 models replace the last year`s 5400 guitars, bringing slightly improved design, construction and tone. S5527 is a solid and double-cut guitar made of a mahogany body and maple/walnut neck (these two are attached to each other with a classic bolt-on neck joint). On the top, S5527 is equipped with the standard LO Pro Edge locking tremolo bridge and a set of passive Ibanez pickups. V87 is in the bridge position and V77 is in the neck position. Master volume, master tone and a five-position blade switch comprise the controls unit. Maple/walnut neck is fit with the standard Wizard unit and topped with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard.
