Italia`s gorgeous Maranello Speedster has been converted recently into equally seductive Roadster. Differences in physical appearance are minute, it`s the electronics section that hides the greatest difference between these two six-string beauties.
Just like its predecessor, the Roadster comes with a solid, double-cut body made entirely of korina and a set in neck made of maple. Roadster too belongs to the intermediate class and features Italia/Wilkinson hardware & electronics. Go-Faster stripes are still there, but the color palette got renamed (though not actually changed that much). 22-fret rosewood fingerboard features split block inlays and white binding around the edges.
Selection of Wilkinson WVC humbuckers instead of the WHHB humbuckers marks the biggest difference between these two models. Controls unit lost one volume knob, too. Wrap around bridge and Italia tuners (these were kept from the previous model) complete the specs list.
