Jackson`s X series is there for the younger players who are looking to replace their first guitars with something more serious, more specialized axe to continue their journey. The X series is also attuned to the general trends on the music scene and tends to deliver what is currently demanded. Thus, the 2015 lineup features seven extended range Soloist models, five with seven strings and two with eight strings. SLATXSDQ 3-7 Soloist is one of the five seven-string models, and it comes with a solid, contoured body made of basswood and maple. Basswood is used for the wings, while the plain maple neck forms the center (neck runs through the middle of the body). Quilted maple veneer with classic Soloist contour. Seven-saddled Floyd Rose Special bridge rests on the quilted top, and holds the tuning and intonation in check. It is helped by the Jackson tuners and the locking nut located 26-1/2" away, on the opposite end of the neck. Seymour Duncan`s Blackout pickups are featured in the pickups department. They`re controlled through a standard unit - master volume, master tone and a three-way toggle switch comprise it. Already mentioned maple neck is fast, slim and topped with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard. Fingerboard also features piranha inlays, jumbo-sized frets and side dot markers. SLATXSDQ 3-7 Soloist comes in Transparent Blue and Transparent Purple.
