Kramer is Gibson`s sub-brand in charge of the vintage-styled metal-oriented axes. This brand was huge back in the 1980s when their designs were praised for the solid tone, great build quality and unbeatable affordable prices. In recent years, Kramer Guitars are being revived by the Gibson and they`re is slowly regaining the old positions. One of the models introduced recently is the 1980s-styled Striker series model named FR-422SM. It is a solid-bodied Soloist model made of alder in it`s entirety. Top of the body is equipped with a Floyd Rose double-locking bridge and three pickups installed in the H/S/S configuration. Master volume, master tone and a five-position blade switch comprise the controls unit. Bolted maple neck is topped with a 24-fret maple fingerboard.
