Fans and followers of PRS have nothing to worry, for the P 22 is among the best guitars unveiled this year. It is a beautiful double-cut guitar with solid mahogany body. On top of it, PRS installs a classic carved top made of two pieces of bookmatched figured maple. Gloss finish and nickel hardware decorate the top. Traditionally, there is no pickguard on PRS guitars. Bridge section brings the most important novelty. It features the PRS tremolo bridge with piezo pickup installed beneath it. Conventional pickups installed on this model include PRS 67 and 08 humbuckers. Neck is made of mahogany, as it is the traditional neck wood for guitars of this distinguished brand. It features the standard Pattern contour in the back and a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard on top. Frets are marked with a set of beautiful bird inlays.
