Private Stock McCarty is Paul Reed Smith`s tribute to his late mentor and guitar legend, one and only Ted McCarty. Mr McCarty was one of the key people in development of classic 50`s and 60`s Gibsons, tune-o-matic bridge and humbucking pickups. Pivate Stock McCarty Singlecut rocks a thick mahogany body along with a beautifully carved flame maple top with curly maple binding. Optionally, players can select a quilted top, as well as matching headstock veneer. The pattern-shaped neck is glued to the body and features a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard on top. Several alternative materials are offered for both the neck and fingerboard. Pickups department has no default option, instead players can choose from a huge selection of PRS`s humbuckers (H/H arrangement is compulsory, however). Two-piece hardtail bridge and Phase III locking tuners complete the specs list.
